I just got back from Music City which is in Nashville, Tennesse. I had a great time, not only did I get a massive amount of things done I also got to take a bit of a vacation with Mike. Mike doesn't always get over the border because when your a musician it can be looked at like your trying to escape to my country or vise versa. Its pretty shitty at those times, very very stressful but this time things worked out for the best.

We worked with 3 writers and of course came back with 3 new songs to add to our list. I know a lot of people have been wondering what is going on with The Other Half and I can only say the truth and that is the music industry is filled with so much competition but sometimes its not even good competition its just overpopulated with people who shouldn't be doing it. I'm not saying that certain people shouldn't follow their dreams, I'm just saying not everyone can do this. Its takes a huge huge huge, and I can't stress it enough, amount of sacrifice its a difficult job and career and we work on it 24/7 we live in a live-in rehearsal place get on each others nerves and create amazing songs and ideas. I believe with all of my heart that things are coming together just the way they should and at the speed it should so here is the quote to sum it up and say everything "anything good is worth waiting for...."

I refuse to put out shit music
I will never do it
I will not sell my soul to a label
I will not compromise my better judgement
I will never leave these guys behind

Screw the industry and what it wants I'm a real person, I get it.....do you?

Every single one of you guys are right.....I'm never on here anymore!!!! I see some of the comments and the support from people I've never even met and it blows me away.....Thank you.

Last night our band did a warm-up show in downtown Toronto, the first show for our brand-new and solidified line-up with jay eldon. We feel we've got the right ingredients now, the right attitude, the right frame of mind. Every time we get together it's a party.

It probably didn't seem so awesome for Jay last night as the moment we plugged in our gear to play, his guitar amp flashed bright yellow as it began to fry (Thanks go to the band who was so kind to let us borrow their gear). This was followed by a broken beer bottle he was drinking from having a shard of glass missing, etc........everything that could go wrong last night did and I couldn't have been happier because in spite of everything we still pulled through.

Leslie sounded amazing last night as she keeps building her strength with her vocals and getting re-aquainted with the stage....she's got some serious pipes now. I figure a few more shows and she (along with her attitude) will be unstoppable.

Making ends meet is challenging when you're fighting for your life. To others it seems like an un attainable pipe dream....especially when you watch so many of your peers catapult into the position you have set out for yourself. I've been up the mountain and have fallen down plenty of times....now I feel like I'm half way back up and have very firm footing while my binoculars focus in on the summit.

I'm tired of watching the parade pass me by.......it's time to make our very own the way we see it.

Update time!

I never thought I'd be able to do this as the last couple of months have been a true test of this bands patience and determination but we made it through!!!

I can quote my favourite band for this little life lesson...." Crawlin....up and down the mountain..." makes so much more sense now. Anyways, I'm here to let you know we're all alive and well and working harder than ever to bring you our latest and best music.

It's currently in the works right now (haven't I said this before?) and it's honestly the most focused we've ever been. We're taking every necessary step to get "Escape the Eclipse" into your hands.

It's my understanding that the best albums are worked on and picked over for a few years before being released.... just to make sure everything is the best it can be. I believe that's the nature of this beast and am very excited.

Walk into this world with your head up high.....

This is an apology to the previous note reguarding DJs departure Being in a band is hard....first of all I would like to start off by saying that I realize now I cant just tell people how I feel when I get hurt by someone. My feelings are very heavily involved in this because I care so much about Dj and the band he just hurt me very badly with things he said behind closed doors which I will not go further into. I want to say Im sorry to him and everyone else. I definatly wish him the best. I have been doing this for so long I want to be taken seriously. When someone leaves something that they have promised to be in because interests changed my emotions will naturally flare up because I am a person. I can be a bit immature at times I am a 21 year old girl trying to figure things out and make the most of my life and those it involves. What happened between Dj and I is really our business. Maybe I just cared to much. The band will continue no matter what as much as it might hurt or be a big bump in the road to stop is not something in our plans no matter what anyone says. I’ve been sad lately

I just can't seem to shake the feeling of sadness that I have been having all of the time. I really do not know what my answer is to this dilemma. I feel alone I feel lost sometimes, I feel like what if I don't make it out there. Life is so hard and I am sure a lot of you out there can relate to me. My life isn't easy and never has been for those out there who think it has dont know shit about me. I have been known to be the girl with a temper a girl who speaks her mind, but its all just to shield myself, protect myself so that no one can hurt me. I am in not way a confident person I realize this now, I need to fix it, all these issues that seem to resurface keep bringing me down, my past really comes back to haunt me and I am only 21 years old. I mean how mature do you have to be at this age. Its easy for people to sya how mature I should be but they dont think about how a sheltered life can really slow down the learning process. No one knows that I am totally anti social, no one knows that I am bi-polar. Believe it or not its a real illness and there is no point in hiding it anymore. Everyone out there can take this whatever way they want, they can speculate that Im insane, or suicidal or anything under the sun but these are my thoughts, true thoughts that might not make sense to you but I feel better have said what I am saying now.
